Duty of Care Waste Transfer Notes

A Waste Transfer Note (WTN) is a document that must be completed when waste is transferred from one party to another; this ensures there is a clear paper trail from when the waste is produced until it is disposed of.

You must keep your copy of any Waste Transfer Notes for at least two years and be able to produce them on demand to the Environment Agency or local authority, this is a legal obligation that must be carried out or you may face a fine.

Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes

A Hazardous Waste Consignment Note is a document that must be completed when hazardous waste is moved. The consignment note must be completed prior to removal and must accompany the hazardous waste until it reaches its final destination.

The Environment Agency states that a Hazardous Waste Consignment Note is needed for all movements of hazardous waste, including:

• Collections from businesses by registered waste carriers
• Movements from one premises to another within the same business
• Movements from customer premises, where another business has produced waste.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to some of the most common questions that we get asked about our Waste Transfer & Hazardous Waste Pads. If you have a question that isn't shown, please take a look at our comprehensive FAQs or give us a call.

Q: Do I have to pay the design fee shown?

A: Unless you are supplying a print ready PDF, the design fee shown would be applicable with your first order.

Q: Can I scan my existing printed form and supply it as a PDF?

A: Unfortunately not, as scanned images do not reproduce well. We can copy your existing design, although the design fee shown would be applicable with your first order.

Q: Can the templates shown be changed or personalised with my business details?

A: Yes, as long as you add the design fee shown to your order.

Q: Can you pre-fill some of the sections on the form for me?

A: Yes, sections that you complete with the same information repeatedly can be pre-printed to save you time.

Q: I am designing my own artwork, what file types do you accept?

A: Please take the time to read our artwork specifications.

Q: What size pad do you recommend?

A: Our templates are best suited to A4 size, however, they can be supplied as A5 if preferred (although writing space will be limited).

Q: Do you use the messy blue carbon paper?

A: No, we use special NCR paper which totally eliminates the need for the traditional blue carbon paper.

Q: Your paper colour order is stated as white, yellow, pink then green, I need something different.

A: No problem, we can collate in a different order and we also offer blue paper, there is no extra charge for this, you just have to let us know your specific requirements in the 'Special Instructions' box which can be found on the payment page.

Q: Will I be able to leave the duplicate copy in the pad for storage?

A: No, with pads all completed sheets must be removed, you will require our NCR Books, please get in touch for further details.

Q: I need sequential numbering, how do I tell you the start number?

A: During the order process you will be able to enter the start number required.
